The Bankruptcy timeline is generally classified as Before timing, and After timing.
8 years before
timing- This means you have to wait for 8 years to file a chapter 7
bankruptcy if you had already received a discharged from a prior
chapter 7. You might also be eligible in some cases to file a chapter
13 or 12 discharge after 6 years.

years before bankruptcy. This means you have to wait for at least 4
years to file for a chapter 13 bankruptcy that is if you have already
file for chapter 7, 11, or 12 previously. You will only need to wait
for 2 years in after you have received a chapter 13 discharge.
180 days
before filing; Under this situation, a certified credit counseling
agency must offer you some training in order for you to be eligible to
file for bankruptcy.
90 days before
filing; This law stipulates that you must be a resident of the state
you reside in for a minimum of 90 days before you can file for
bankruptcy.
Filing- this means , your bankruptcy case starts counting after you have filed your bankruptcy petition with a bankruptcy court.
15 days after
filing; This means you have a maximum of 15 days after filing for
bankruptcy to provide the court with information regarding your income,
assets, liabilities, expenses and other relevant information. You must
also file your repayment plan within 15 days also when you file for
chapter 13.
30 days after
filing- Chapter 7; A statement of intention must filed during this
period . This statement will state the debt which you intend to
reaffirm. In cases of chapter 13, you will have an approximately 30
days to do this – you must make your first scheduled payment within
this period.
45 days after filing; A meet of creditors will be held by the court approximately 6 weeks after you have filed your case.
180 days after
filing; Under this period , Government agencies which have claims
against will be allowed by the law to submit the proof of their claims
against you .
3-5 years
after filing- this case applies to chapter 13 only; This is
approximately 3-5 years after your first repayment has been made , this
is based on your chapter 13 repayment plan under which the court will
give you a formal discharge. All your eligible debts are formerly
discharged within this period of time.
